Mammary-like gland adenoma of the vulva, in this particular case resembling sclerosing adenosis.

Isn't mammary-like-gland adenoma of the vulva equivalent to hidradenoma papilliferum?
I thought of this lesion as tubular apocrine adenoma, as I did not perceive the typical architecture of hidradenoma papilliferum.

Mona, mammary-like gland adenoma of the vulva is not completely equivalent to hidradenoma papilliferum. Tumors resembling breast lesions such as erosive adenomatosis, sclerosing adenosis, ductal adenoma, papillary adenofibroma, etc, are now considered variants of mammary-like gland adenoma. I think this case resembles sclerosing adenosis.

That said, I can see argument for being a "lumper" for the clinician's sake, and classifying these as a hidradenoma variant (HP or tubulopapillary hidradenoma) if histology is not clear-cut, e.g. no mammary-like glands (MLG) in adjacent tissue.

Some structures resemble mammary ducts. There is double-layer with apocrine type secretion. There may be some patchy absence of myoepithelial layer in some of the sclerotic glands but that would not be of concern for a sclerosing adenosis-like lesion.
